S&A | A Discovery Park and Seattle Coffee Shop Engagement Session

Have you ever experienced a moment where you realize another person is exactly like you, just a “different font?” We had this moment when we met Scott and Austin for their engagement shoot! The four of us had so much in common and we spent the next few hours together chatting about our lives, hobbies, good design, and everything else under the sun. Scott and Austin’s love story is truly something out of a movie - they met in Portland, Oregon in 2016 thanks to Tinder, just like our love story! We both truly owe Tinder a HUGE thank you.

They’ve been together for over 6 years and are tying the knot in Taormina, Italy in 2023. Austin’s family is Sicilian and he has Italian citizenship, so they thought why not tie the knot in Italy to grant Scott citizenship as well! We are so honored to be making the trek to Italy with Scott and Austin to capture their wedding in Taormina. It is going to be the most stunning and sentimental weekend for the couple and their friends + family.

We began at the cutest coffee shop in Ballard called ROOT. ROOT is a specialty coffee and curated plant shop in the heart of the Ballard neighborhood. They were so kind to let us shoot in their space and were great hosts! Afterward, we drove over to Discovery Park to take advantage of the beautiful views and to get a few shots with Scott and Austin’s dogs, Rocky and Bullwinkle!
